About the store manager

Liam is the manager of Access Self Storage Derby, a role he has held for a year. He enjoys the challenge of managing every aspect of the site, from maintenance to dealing with customers, processing payments and more.

In his spare time, Liam is a content creator on YouTube, and you’ll often find him walking his three dachshunds. Derby is his hometown – the great gateway city between the north and the south – and he loves being close to the Peak District. If you’re in Derby, Liam recommends checking out Turtle Bay, Bistro Piere, or the Farmhouse at Mackworth Hotel for a great bite to eat.

Cheap self storage units in Derby

Derby, on the River Derwent in the East Midlands, is arguably best known as the home of Derby County FC and their most famous (and outspoken) manager, Brian Clough. We take football seriously here, and if your home is being taken over by decades worth of football memorabilia, our Derby self storage units could provide the perfect alternative to the bin. We have lockers the perfect size for shirts, scarves and matchday programmes.

Derby residents will be keen to argue that the town is about more than just football however! Derby was at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution in the UK, home to the world’s first water powered factory, Lombe’s Mill, where raw silk was spun into thread in the early 18th century. Derby also became a centre for the railway industry due to its central location, and today, vast companies such as Rolls-Royce and Toyota have based their UK Headquarters in the town. Derby’s engineers at Rolls-Royce are famous for putting engines, in cars, planes and even nuclear submarines. We think there may well be a few train sets stored in our Derby self storage units, but no matter how friendly our staff are and how many different unit sizes we have, storage space for a nuclear submarine remains a little out of our reach! Nuclear subs aside though, we are always happy to help you find the perfect storage unit for your needs.
