A roundup of the Access Self Storage Christmas Charity Appeal 2019

This year we had a record-breaking number of local businesses supporting our campaign, too – special shoutout to Emirates Holidays in Kingston, Bigfoot Basketball in Mitcham, Tesco Extra in Festival Place, Basingstoke (who very kindly allowed us to put a collection box in their store) and West Mercia Police for all their support.

Some of the gifts we collected for those in need included:

• More than 150 boxes of chocolates and sweets for Hackney Food Bank at Access Self Storage Kings Cross and Access Self Storage Islington.
  
  
• 150 chocolate selection boxes for The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) from our Access Self Storage Manchester store.

• Ginger tea and anti-bacterial hand gel for Cancer Support UK’s cancer care packs at our Access Self Storage West Norwood store.
  
  
• Hundreds of pounds worth of Christmas toys and gifts to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices over at Access Self Storage Byfleet. Kirstie Barton, Community Fundraiser at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said: “We are thrilled to be beneficiaries again in the Access Self Storage Byfleet Christmas appeal which really helps spread the word of what we do in the community.”
  
  
• 200 Christmas gifts were donated to The Lewis Foundation at Access Self Storage Northampton, breaking their own local record.
  
  
• 100 new toys and books were kindly donated by local residents and businesses to Rowans Hospice.
  
  
• A big well done to everyone in Bristol – our Bristol storage facility received hundreds of pounds’ worth of Christmas chocolate boxes for Above & Beyond, a Bristol Hospital charity.
  
  
• Finally, a big cheers to everyone at Access Self Storage Kingston who collected more than 100 new toys for Momentum Children’s Charity.
