2017 Christmas appeal ends on a high

20 December 2017

2017 was another fantastic year for our annual charity appeal - #AccessCharityXmas. With Christmas just around the corner, our campaign once again came to a close, and all of us at Access are, once again, incredibly grateful for your generosity and support throughout this year’s appeal.

Christmas tree and presents

Our annual Christmas charity donations appeal aims to encourage as many donations as possible for a selection of charities around the UK. This year, as usual, we were bowled over by the response from our customers, generous locals and businesses, with hundreds of gifts collected for those less fortunate at Christmas.

Returns from all around the nation were impressive - together, a few of our South London stores including Access Self Storage Wandsworth and Access Self Storage Battersea collected over 300 gifts for The Children’s Trust.

Over at Access Self Storage Stevenage, 200 donations were received for Stevenage Haven, which is dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness.

And in Birmingham at our Selly Oak storage facility, 200 brand new toys for children at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Charity were donated.

A huge thank you to all in the Mitcham area where hundreds of gifts for the Salvation Army were collected.

Boxes and presents

Meanwhile in Romford more than 50 donations including socks, toothbrushes and sanitary products came in for Hope4Havering. Likewise in Southampton, over 100 gifts for underprivileged children were handed in at our branch to be delivered to SCRATCH.

All of the gifts donated to Access Self Storage Nottingham have been delivered to the Nottinghamshire Hospice and we’d like to extend a special thank you to Tom Flory for the hampers of sweets that will be auctioned off over Christmas at the Hospice.  And to John Finch for your generous cash donation!

Finally, congratulations to everyone in Byfleet, Acton, IsleworthKings Cross, Tower Bridge and Islington  where 50 donations for Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice Care were collected alongside 150 new children’s books for Evelina, 50 new toys for Family Action and hundreds of clothes for Guys & St Thomas’s Hospital Charity.

This has been a fantastic campaign and we’d like to once again extend our thanks to everyone involved for your support. From everyone at Access, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
