Whether you’re moving house, making space at home or storing furniture while you decorate, renting a storage unit with Access Self Storage is flexible and easy.

Whichever store you choose, it will be monitored by 24-hour CCTV, while you enjoy free parking, use of trolleys and a full range of storage options.

Here’s how to store with us:

1. Select a store

Firstly, find your nearest store. There are over 50 Access Self Storage stores throughout the UK, and most are open 7 days a week.

2. Choose your unit type and length of stay

Use our size estimator or speak to your nearest store to help you choose the right storage unit for you.

Our stores are protected by 24-hour CCTV plus a range of fire and smoke detection systems.

We offer flexible storage options, and you can hire a unit for as little as a week at a time.

3. Reserve your storage unit

We recommend reserving your storage unit for just £10 online, by phone or in store. This risk-free reservation fee is deducted from your storage cost, and it’s fully refundable if you need to cancel your reservation before you’re due to move in.

If you find that your storage unit is larger or smaller than you need, you can change size any time, as often as you like – we’ll just adjust your monthly rates accordingly.

4. Pack your items

We sell a range of durable cardboard and plastic boxes and packaging materials online and in each of our stores.

Using the right sized box for your needs will make packing up much easier, plus it allows you to easily stack your items once you’ve moved into your unit.

5. Transport your items

Your local store team will be happy to recommend local removal companies, man-with-a-van services or van hire. As an Access Self Storage customer, you may even be able to take advantage of special offers and discounts, too.

6. Check in and move in

To make your move as easy as possibly, we’ll send you reminders via email or text to let you know what to do next.

You’ll need to arrive with your ID to sign your storage agreement in store, but to save time you can check in online so we can get everything ready for when you arrive.

Once you’ve signed your agreement, you can start using your storage unit straight away.

7. Moving out

Whether you've been using your storage unit for one week or several years, simply give us seven days' notice in writing (an email is fine) when you want to vacate. We will refund you for any unused days.
